Queen of the Sky tells of a chance moment that led a Peregrine in its hour of need to meet just the right person.

Ffion was born in Pembrokeshire and has known Jackie for many years. She is head skipper for one of the local boat companies and takes boats full of lucky people on fascinating tours around Ramsey Island that is found just off St Davids head. She knows the coastline, the sea, the best places to hope to see a passing school of dolphins, where seals play in the waves and where puffins might be found. Her awareness of the landscape was brought sharply into focus one day when she spotted a peregrine as it landed in the sea - and peregrines don't swim! From the moment Ffi rescued Hiss she knew ultimately she wasn't hers and that one day Hiss would return to the sky. Jackie spent many long hours sitting, watching, learning and in awe of the bond she saw grow day by day between the wild thing and a woman. She came to know Ffion on a deeper level, aware of an inner courage and strength she hadn't known before.

This story is unlike anything Jackie has written before. It's has a raw honesty that allows you closer to the world of Jackie Morris that will stir many different emotions as you read it.
