This beautiful book by author Branwen Davies and photographer Iestyn Hughes brings together the story of the most colourful and creative industries in Wales: woollen mills.
Some time ago, woollen mills were at the centre of small Welsh communities. Today, very few remain in existence, let alone weaving. The majority of these remaining woollen mills feature in this book, written by Branwen Davies. This book explores the unique stories of these surviving Welsh woollen mills, and the individuals at the heart of them. The wonderful photography captured by Iestyn Hughes encapsulates the atmosphere and produce of each mill. Solva Woollen Mill is very proud of its long history, weaving continuously for over one hundred years. We are delighted to be featured in this beautiful and interesting book.
This is a bilingual book – English and Welsh language, 190 pages.
